There are also some art galleries in the city. One is the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in the heart of Delray Beach. This serene oasis features beautiful gardens, a museum with rotating exhibitions of Japanese art, and a tea house where you can enjoy traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. The gardens, open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., highlight a century-old connection between Japan and South Florida, beginning with an agricultural community headed by Japanese farmers. Despite the farm’s demise, traces of these farmers’ efforts and lifestyles are preserved at the museum.
